Prospective Lab Members

The lab is always trying to increase capacity which means we are looking for talented and motivated scientists at all training levels. Here are some instructions for individuals seeking an opportunity in the lab.

Undergraduates: There is currently about a 2-semester waiting list for undergraduate researchers. Please email Dr. Christianson to arrange a meeting. When emailing please describe 1) the courses you've taken in neuroscience areas, 2) your availability to work, and 3) what you hope to gain from lab experience. Please note that PSYC2285 Behavioral Neuroscience is a prerequisite for working in this lab (but this can be waived in some cases). Please also indicate your major. At the moment demand for undergraduate assistantships is very high and priority will be given to students in the Neuroscience or Psychology BS degree tracts because lab experience is a graduation requirement.

Graduate Students: I am not actively seeking new PhD students, but I am always willing to talk about this with students interested in studying in our lab. Interested students should email a brief statement of research plans/interests, a copy of CV, GPA, and any publications/posters. I like to arrange phone calls with students to give feedback about their applications and indicate whether I think they would be recruitable to my lab.

Research Assistants: We are not seeking RAs at this time.

Postdoctoral Fellows: We are not seeking new Postdocs at this time.
