rAAV2(retro)!!!!

Thanks to Karpova lab for making available rAAV2(retro)! We used the rAAV2(retro) with an eSyn-iCre-T2A-eGFP-WPRE plasmid (thanks Vectorbiolabs). Virus injected to insular cortex of adult rat. Tissue taken 14 days after injection. GFP fluorescence in region of injection (deep layer of insula, medial to rhinal fissure), and retrograde labeled cells in S2 dorsal to injection site. Retrograde cells also found in anterior insular cortex, anterior cingulate...we're still processing these tissues. But...this is going to be a very powerful tool. Image credit Mary S.
